Lead Singer of BDA Says Farewell

I can’t write it any better then Ben could from Better Days Ahead. As hard as it is to see Matt go, it’s where God is leading him and that’s what is more important then for a band to stick together as a whole. Since the LORD is the focus, the goals need to be there. Here’s what Ben has to say from BDA:

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to let you know of a few changes going on in BDA-Land. As of July 19, 2005, I made a tough decision. For a while, I felt God strongly leading me in a different direction, away from being in BDA as a career. After much prayer and discussion with the band, my wife Sarah and I made a move back to our home state of South Carolina. God’s timing truly is perfect, as less than a month later we found out we are going to have our first child, due on May 9, 2006. For now we are closer to our families, working, and praying for His guidance in this next chapter of our lives. Keep Sarah, “Baby Jones”, and me in your prayers as we go through this new and miraculous journey. We need all the help we can get as we are trying to grow and mature into the most Godly and responsible parents we can be.

Don’t worry, the band has a great new lead singer named Sean, and we are all still close friends. So please continue to request BDA at your local radio station!!! Also, the guys will be headed into the studio next month to record some new material, so keep your ear to the ground for that!! We’re all excited about these new songs, and you can check them now out at any BDA live show! So check the calendar often, to find out when they’ll be coming closest to you! BDA has been a big part of my life for years and still is, so join me in cheering them on in this next season in the band’s life! Thanks for all of your support and all the great memories!

With all that said, the rest of us truly do wish Matt and Sarah the best and will continue to support and pray for them. But with every end comes a new begining and thats what we are excited to announce to you all. We have a new lead singer named Sean Perdue. Sean comes from Panama City, FL, he and his wife now live in Nashville. Sean’s passion for music is only surpassed by his passion for the Lord and so we are really excited to have him on board for this upcoming season. Sean has been a vocalist since high school, singing with the vocal pop group “Covenant” which he started in college and working with the likes of R&B superstar Brian McKnight.
As Matt Said we are headed back into the studio in November and December to begin working on new material. Keep checking back to the website for updates and maybe even a listen!
